Symbiosis University celebrates 72nd Republic Day with fervour and gaiety

Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences (SUAS) Indore celebrated the 72nd Republic Day with full patriotic fervour and enthusiasm on 26 January 2021. The celebration began with the flag hoisting ceremony by Vice-Chancellor Air Commodore Dr Sanjay Kumar. This was followed by the National Anthem sung by faculty and staff members present on the occasion.

On a chilly January morning, the dynamic Vice-Chancellor induced quite some warmth and gave goosebumps with his highly charged inaugural speech. He said, “I began my career with a pledge to serve the motherland. Today, we are together celebrating a Red Letter Day in Indian history. I urge you all to think on what best you can do for the eternal glory of the national Tri-colour.”

Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences, Indore celebrated the 74th Independence Day with social distancing at the university campus. Vice-Chancellor Dr Sanjay Kumar unfurled the tri-colour amid limited faculties and staff members taking care of social distancing. Thereafter, the national anthem was sung.

Highlighting the importance of this Golden Day of Indian history, Dr Kumar recalled the brave soldiers and armed forces, freedom fighters and others who sacrificed their lives for the motherland. He appealed to youths that all young minds must contribute significantly towards building new Self Reliant India and take a vow to protect the unity and sovereignty of the country at all cost. He said that the pride of the nation is our tricolour that should always be fluttering on the landmass, waters and in the sky to mark India’s presence across the globe.

On this auspicious occasion, to promote “ATMA NIRBHAR BHARAT”, School of Retail Management conducted an online poster making competition in which a lot of students participated and won prizes.

National science day has been celebrated at Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences Indore on 28th Feb 2020. Mr Ved Prakash Shrimali Assistant Director Tribal Affaires Govt. of M.P graced the event as a chief guest. Mr Shrimali guided students to avail different schemes put forwarded by the government to support higher education of the talented students.

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the University Dr. Sanjay Kumar also addressed the students and faculty with his intellectual and encouraging views and highlighted the current global trends in science and technology and spoke about creating the awareness about the benefits of Science to mankind and also emphasised to develop rational thinking, innovative and scientific temperament in our young generation.

21 teams from different regions of M.P were participated in the Exhibition cum Competition. Event was also loaded with the Quiz and rapid fire rounds to keep participants energized throughout the day.  Winners and other participants were awarded by attractive prizes and certificates.

Vote of thanks was proposed by Dr. Keshav Patidar Dean School of Mechatronics leads to the conclusion of the event.

Fit India 2019 grand celebration at Symbiosis Indore

In line with national mission ‘Fit India Movement’, the Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences, Indore took a number of initiatives at its lush green campus. A large array of students flanked in six rows along with faculty and staff carrying the flag of ‘Fit India Movement’ marched in cohesion for two kilometres spreading the Prime Minister’s message – ‘Mai fit to India fit’. On this auspicious occasion, Vice Chancellor Dr Sanjay Kumar led the marching procession. At Assembly place, he advocated the prime objectives of this noble mission and made the students do the fitness drills. A lot of enthusiasm was shown by the huge crowd of SUAS who witnessed the live telecast of Prime Minister’s speech and took the pledge. सिम्बायोसिस इंदौर ने 73वां स्वतंत्रता दिवस धूमधाम से मनाया

सिम्बायोसिस यूनिवर्सिटी ऑफ एप्लाइड साइंसेस, इंदौर ने 73वें स्वतंत्रता दिवस को विश्वविद्यालय परिसर में हर्ष और उल्लास के साथ मनाया। कुलपति डॉ. संजय कुमार ने शिक्षकगण, कर्मचारियों और छात्रों द्वारा जयकारे और तालियों के बीच तिरंगा फहराया, तत्पश्चात राष्ट्रगान गाया गया।

“भारतीय इतिहास के इस स्वर्णिम दिवस के महत्व को रेखांकित करते हुए, डॉ. कुमार ने मातृभूमि के लिए सर्वोच्च बलिदान देने वाले बहादुर सैनिकों और सशस्त्रबलों अर्ध सैनिक बलों स्वतंत्रता सेनानियों और अन्य लोगों को स्मरण किया। ”

SUAS आपको आदर्श नागरिक के रूप में पूरी तरह से कौशल–आधारित डोमेन ज्ञान के साथ देशभक्ति और मूल्यों के साथ ढालने के लिए प्रतिबद्ध है। उन्होंने छात्रों से अपने जीवन की परवाह किये बिना तिरंगे का सम्मान करने की अपील की और हमेशा इस महान देश की एकता, अखंडता और संप्रभुता को मजबूत करने की दिशा में कार्य करने को कहा।

इस अवसर पर, छात्रों ने एक सांस्कृतिक कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किया। जिसमें कविता और समूहगान शामिल थे। उत्कृष्ट छात्रों को प्रमाणपत्र भी प्रदान किए गए।

SUAS Celebrates Rashtriya Poshan Maah-2019

A grand celebration on Poshan Maah-2019 was organised at the Symbiosis University of Applied Sciences, Indore on 1 October 2019 . In his inaugural address, Vice Chancellor Dr Sanjay Kumar recited some lines from the poem of Sohanlal Dwivedi to pay tribute to an illustrious son of the soil – Mahatma Gandhi – on his 150th birth anniversary. He said, “चल पड़े जिधर दो डगमग में, चल पड़े कोटि पग उसी ओर; गड़ गई जिधर भी एक दृष्टि, गड़ गए कोटि द्रग उसी ओर।” He also explained the two invincible weapons of Bapu – Truth and Non-Violence.

The Prime Minister’s Overreaching Scheme for Holistic Nourishment – POSHAN Abhiyaan is a multi-ministerial convergence mission with the vision to address malnutrition with a targeted approach by 2022. The theme this year is Complementary Feeding. It aims to accelerate various activities under Poshan Abhiyaan and to create a peoples’ movement in the process.

The components of the Poshan Maah is divided into five – First 1,000 Days of the Child, Anaemia Mukt Bharat, Diarrhoea Prevention, WASH (short for wash, sanitation and hygiene) and Paushtik Aahaar (wholesome meal with diet diversity).

Dr Uttam Patidar, a qualified medical practitioner at CHL Hospital, Indore, was the guest speaker. In his address, he urged the people to develop the habit of liquid intake at regular intervals to keep the body hydrated. One must drink atleast 8 glasses of water a day for far-reaching advantages, he said, adding that one should frequently wash hands to keep pathogens at bay. Often reaching out for mobile phones also increases the risk of pathogen contamination.

Dr Abhijeet Chauhn (IDSC), Mr Vivek Saxena (IT) and Prof Vilas Nair (RM) were the event coordinators. Jitesh Rajpal & Diksha Tomar were student anchors while Harsh Dangi (all three of CSIT, V-B) did an excellent job behind the camera.
